How often should I get microdermabrasion?

So, you’re interested in getting a microdermabrasion treatment done, or maybe you already have jumped in and got one!

If so then you probably already know the benefits of it, but just incase I’ll give a little recap.

For starters, a microdermabrasion treatment works by exfoliating away the very top layer of our skin.

The treatment removes 20% of our epidermis gently carrying away the lifeless skin cells that lie on the skin’s surface revealing softer, smoother, brighter skin.

The treatment does so by using tiny diamond cut crystals that gently expel from a handheld device. While these crystals come through the device and against the surface of your skin, a slight suction will occur simultaneously. The work of the crystals with the addition of the suction will be the super pair that make this treatment so beneficial.

It will help even out your skin tone and texture all while targeting those fine lines and wrinkles. It is perfect for those who are looking to improve acne scarring and with home skincare and treatments, you can do just that.

You will leave the spa with glowing skin after your treatment and a great complexion.

Now, let’s touch on how often you should come into the spa to get the service done, how long you should wait in between getting each treatment, and when you’ll see the BEST results!

After a single microdermabrasion treatment you’ll be sure to leave the spa with exfoliated, glowy, AND refreshed skin immediately after treatment.

Although, you generally won’t see your BEST results until you’ve completed a round of six microdermabrasion treatments.

If you’re wanting to see the best results the treatment has to offer we recommend getting a series of six microdermabrasion treatments every two weeks.

Due to your cell turnover rate occurring every 21 days, we would not recommend a client waiting anymore than four weeks in between each treatment. Receiving your microdermabrasion treatment every two to four weeks will be your sweet spot!

In between your microdermabrasion treatments we strongly suggest you continue a good at home skincare regimen as your at home skincare is just as crucial as the treatments you receive in the spa, if not more!

With the vast results of a microdermabrasion treatment series, and the help of a wonderful at home skincare routine, you have improved beautiful skin coming right your way!
