Are Lash Extensions Safe?

Ok guys so here at The Beach House we get asked a lot of questions about Lash Extensions.  One of those #1 questions is: Are Lash Extensions Safe??

The answer is YES!

But like anything that involves your body, health or well-being you should do your research.

By research I mean check out reviews, ask your girlfriend that has great extensions where she goes, even compliment a stranger on their extensions. Chances are they'll say "Thank You, (with a huge smile) Go to The Beach House!"

Here are a few things that come to mind in the "safe" category that could happen with lash extensions.

  • If you have an allergy to adhesive you may have a reaction to the glue used to attach the extension to the natural lash. The allergy may look something like this: blood shot eyes, overall redness in the eye are, itching, watery eyes or swollen eyelids. It's your body, you know when somethings off. If any of these occur, you should contact you Esthetician and have the extensions removed.

  • Pink eye (Conjunctivitis) which is an infection of the eye can happen if you're not keeping your lashes clean.  This one is up to you folks....if you're investing all the time and money into your lashes shouldn't you care for them properly.  The Beach House offers lash extension cleaning kits with everything you will need to keep you lashes clean and in tip top lash shape. Also, you can rest a sure that all the instruments used to apply your lashes are cleaned and sanitized after each and every lash appointment!!

  • Temporary natural lash loss could happen as well.  But thankfully no harm will come to you. You shed your natural lashes just like the rest of the hair on your body and they will come back.

If you are selecting a legit spa with Licensed Esthetic Professionals (THIS IS SO IMPORTANT) who are educated on lash extensions and esthetic services, you are going to have a great experience with your new lashes.

Safety concerns are certainly understandable but pretty uncommon if you've done your research and cared for your lashes properly at home.

Don't mess around when it comes to your beautiful peepers, they are the only ones you get! 😉
