Brazilian/Bikini Wax Aftercare

Local Peoria podcast!

When I originally recorded this podcast it was in the middle of pandemic shut downs. A time when I really thought I would have all the time in the world to record, edit, upload, and basically do 100 extra things in my day.

Turns out, I still have the same amount of time in the day as before 🤪 I found this podcast and thought it was still very helpful for anyone that wants to know how to take care of their bikini or Brazilian wax. Although there is no Beauty Babe Facebook group any more you can still DM me or send me a text with any questions you may have!

Here you go!

  1. Wipe down the area

    • I keep fragrance-free baby wipes in the waxing room for multiple reasons but a big one is so that when you are done with your wax you can wipe down any area that was waxed. We do this for you as well with a post-wax cleanser that is made up of aloe vera and witch hazel. It’s a wonderful way to prevent breakouts and clean off any bacteria that is naturally on the surface of your skin.

    • Wipe the area down a few times throughout the day as well, leading up to bed time.

  2. Try to not wear undies to bed

    • You want to let the area breathe and prevent any bacteria from being trapped against your skin

  3. Gently exfoliate

    • There are different ways to do this. One is with a physical exfoliation - these are your body loofahs, body mits, scrubs (although I don’t like to exfoliate with a salt or sugar scrub because I always seem to miss one or two pieces and I don’t realize it until later that day when it’s rubbing me the wrong way 🥴)

    • Another way is with our Bump Away Bar or Bump Away Spray.

5. Hydrate your skin

  • It is really important to use a fragrance-free body lotion when hydrating your skin after a shower. Fragrance dries out your skin and is known to be the biggest cause for breakouts.

If you can do at least one of these 5 things after a bikini or Brazilian wax you are sure to be able to prevent breakouts, ingrowns, and general discomfort after your wax and get the most out of your bikini and/or Brazilian wax.
