How do I care for my lashes after a lash lift and tint?

Before knowing how to care for your lashes after your lash lift and tint I’m going to break down the process for you.

Depending on the shape of your eye, we will start by putting either silicone rods or silicone shields on your eyelids. We will glue them down with an adhesive and then brush your lashes back.

Once your lashes are brushed back we will apply two different solutions; a lift lotion and a setting lotion. The lift lotion will perm your lashes, giving them a beautiful curl. The setting lotion sets your lashes in place. Lastly, we will apply the tint.

The first and second solution as well as the tint, will not damage your lashes or mess up the integrity of them. Here at The Beach House we always use safe and clean products.

The lift lotion is applied first and then once removed we apply the setting lotion.

Both of these solutions have the tendency to lighten your lashes so we always apply a tint to them after.

The lash lift will last anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks and the tint will last 4 to 6 weeks.

Now that you know what happens in a lash lift and tint the upkeep is pretty simple!

The main thing you have to remember is don’t get your lashes wet for 24 hours

That may seem tricky, but I've seen some clients go all out for this like putting pool goggles on when you shower. Yes you heard me right, it’s a thing.

Whatever you need to do to not get your lashes wet for the 24 hour period, just do it!

If you wash your face at night (which I’m hoping you do) try using a washcloth and avoid your eye area.

After the 24 hours are up you are free to get your lashes wet and really do whatever you want to do to them, within reason of course!

Feel free to wear any eye makeup and mascara, it will only make your lash lift bolder. Who doesn’t want that?

All we ask is that you wait 6 weeks minimum before coming in to get your next lash lift and tint.

So come on into The Beach House and get your lashes lifted and bold!
