Will my lashes be damaged after a lash lift & tint?
Here at The Peoria Beach House Spa lashes are very important! Our goal is ALWAYS to enhance lashes, never to harm them. One of our ultimate favorite lash enhancing treatments is a lash lift and tint. This treatment lifts your lashes giving them a curled effect and tints them making your eyes all around pop more.
A lash lift and tint is not a treatment that should damage your lashes by any means but it is possible if the treatment is not done correctly. It’s important to choose a trained and licensed professional to treat your lashes. After all, they are VERY important.
Several people just like you find themselves wondering “will the lifting product damage my lashes?”. The simple answer to this is no. Here at The Peoria Beach House we make sure to use high quality, safe products to keep the integrity of your natural lashes.
After the service is complete we will give your lashes a very thorough lash bath. This will remove any residue on your lashes and eyelid as well as stop the lifting and setting lotions from developing any further. We do this to one make sure you’re leaving with nice clean lashes, but also to avoid your lashes from possibly over processing.
After leaving your appointment you’ll want to try your best to keep your lashes dry and makeup free for the next 24 hours. The longer your wait, the better your curl will most likely hold. After the first 24 hours are up you may give your lashes a good wash and apply mascara as you normally would. You’ll notice mascara will glide onto your freshly lifted lashes like butter and will stay lifted better throughout your day!
Think of it like a hair appointment for color, highlights or even a perm. A lash lift is like a perm for your lashes. The solution steps are very similar to the processing steps when getting a perm at the hair salon!
Just like you’d upkeep your locks after a perm, we recommend you to take special care of your lashes after a lift and tint. A product we love for the lashes is our Grande Lash serum here in the spa. The serum will not only nourish your lashes but will help them grow, a lot! The serum is packed full with vitamins, peptides, and amino acids. All of these components help aid in the growth process of your beloved lashes.
