Lash extensions vs lash lift/tint

Have you ever wanted to change something about your lashes, but don’t know how?

Do you want them to be longer, darker, or fuller?

Well here at The Beach House we have options for you and your lashes. All you have to do is figure out what look you prefer!

Lash services have been booming in the past few years so of course we choose to stay up to date.

You can book lash extensions or a lash lift/tint, both are great options in my opinion.

Before booking your lash appointment you should know a few things about each service.

No worries, I’ll give you the rundown so you have all the information you need!

If you are a client with short lashes and looking to make them longer then lash extensions are for you!

Lash extensions consist of putting a false lash onto your natural lash.

Your esthetician or lash artist will map out your lashes to a design that fits your eye the best. One of the most popular looks that we try and achieve is a cat eye.

With lash extensions you can have classic lashes, volume lashes, or hybrid lashes.

Classic lashes are a 1:1 ratio. Your lash artist will put one false lash to one of your natural lashes and will continue to do this on all of your lashes that are healthy enough to hold a lash. This will give you a natural and noticeable look.

Volume lashes can be anywhere from a 2:1 ratio up to a 4:1 ratio. We take the false lashes and make fans out of them and put them on your natural lashes. This will make for a dramatic and full look.

Hybrid lashes are a combination of classic and volume lashes. So we do a mix of 1:1 and 3:1 on your lashes. This will give you a full look, but not overpowering.

You can talk with your lash artist and see what she would think your lashes can withstand and also what shape/style would fit your eyes the best.

If you are a client who has long straight lashes that is looking for a natural but curled look then a lash lift will be perfect for you.

A lash lift consists of pulling your lashes back and putting different products on them to keep them curled.

There are 4 different steps in the lash lift process once we get your lashes pulled back.

The first step consists of a product that strips your lashes, but still keeps their integrity so as not to damage them. This will allow for the next step to keep your lashes curled while neutralizing any ingredients left on from the previous product.

Then we will apply a tint to your lashes to keep them dark and bold.

Finally we will use keratin on your lashes to nourish your lashes and remove any residue that is left behind.

The lash lift will last anywhere from 6-8 weeks.

Hopefully this gave you some insight on the differences between lash extensions and a lash lift. Both are great services to get done and now it is up to you to decide what you want your lashes to look like!
