My Skin Feels So Dry, What Can I Do?!

In the deepest part of Winter our skin can begin to change.  It's a seasonal change but none the less a change.  It becomes dry dry dry.  It happens to almost all of us.

It might be on your face, your hands or your body but it's bound to happen.  So what can you do?  I'm going to suggest some great hydrating and exfoliating products that we have here at The Beach House that will help with dry skin.  Most importantly I'm going to tell you the ingredients in each product that are going to help with the dryness.

Let's set up a regimen for normal to dry clients or people who experience seasonal dryness.  Now keep in mind you don't have to use all these products in conjunction with one another.  Incorporating one or two into the regimen that's already working for you may cause tremendous results.

Exfoliate: Smoothing Scrub contains Glycolic Acid which is hydrating and jojoba beads which will slough off dead and dry skin. I find this works best on dry skin (non-wet), massaging in circular motions until the product begins to pill up.  Rinse with warm water. Twice a week.

Cleanse: Green Tea Cleanser is creamy and gentle, just what sore dry skin needs. The Green Tea, Chamomile and Cucumber all aid in hydrating and decreasing sensitivity.

Tone: Hydration Toner is light and airy. Truly everyone should have this in their bathroom.  The Lactic Acid it contains is an instant boost of hydration. You can spritz your skin throughout the day for a drink.

Treat: Peptide Complex Serum (our HERO product) is pumped full of peptides, Glycolic Acid and let the angels sing Hyaluronic Acid. Half a pipette massaged into the skin is the game changer.  The Replenishing Dry Oil is a winner as well with Rosehip Oil, Buckthorn Oil and Vitamin E.  Again half a pipette massaged or pressed into the skin will up your hydration level.

Moisturize: Corrective Creme is our heaviest moisturizer or you can think of it as our thickest if the word heavy scares you.  Some people don't like a “heavy” moisturizer.  But I DO!  This Creme contains all the goodies, Vitamin C, Glycolic Acid and Lactic acid which will be your hydrator acids.

SPF: tinted sunscreen. You must always remember to put sunscreen to protect our skin from skin cancer and many other things!

Think about all these products and which ones you might like to try.  Happy Hydration and we’ll see you in the spa!
