Three Different Types of Bikini Waxes

In this episode of The Beauty Babe Show, I go over the three different types of bikini waxes that you can get here at The Beach House: Bikini wax, Modern (Modified) wax and Brazilian wax.

If you don't live near Peoria, Illinois you can still use this information to find a spa near you that offers Brazilian/bikini waxing.

I go over what hair we leave behind and what hair we don't  😉

If you want to ease yourself into a Brazilian wax but don't want to do it all at once I would strongly recommend starting with a simple bikini wax, then moving to a mod bikini wax and then keep working our way inwards until we reach a full Brazilian wax.

Before I tell you about the difference between each bikini wax I encourage you to check out my other podcast episode/blog posts on Bikini/Brazilian waxes:

Here is a basic breakdown of each service.

First up, bikini wax. I will remove 4 finger's worth of hair from the inner thigh (connecting to the pelvic area) and 2 finger's width of hair on your bikini line. This ensures that no hair will peek out of your swimsuit. I will also remove 2 finger's width of hair from the very top of your pelvic area where your underwear might touch. The backside/crack is NOT included with this bikini waxing option.

Next, Modified bikini wax (or what we call, the mod bikini wax). This includes everything that a bikini wax does except we keep moving in towards the center. The booty crack is included with this type of bikini wax. I think it's best to explain this particular wax as removing everything except the hair on the labia and leaving a landing strip at the top. It's a happy medium for women that would like more hair removed but not everything.

Lastly, and most popular here at The Beach House, a Brazilian wax.  It's safe to say that yes, you can remove absolutely everything (my personal preference if I am so bold as to say) but it's not necessary to remove all the hair if that's your preference. If you would like to leave some pubic hair at the top that is perfectly fine too.

The difference between a Brazilian wax and a Mod Bikini wax is the hair left behind on the labia. Since the hair on the labia is the most difficult to remove that is how to compare a Brazilian wax to a modified bikini wax.
