What is the maintenance of lash extensions?

The best part of lash extensions is how low maintenance they are!

If you want to be able to get up and go in the morning then lash extensions will be your best friend.

With lash extensions you will need to have them filled every 2 to 3 weeks to keep them looking full.

The reason lash extensions need fills is because as your natural lash falls out in their usual cycle the lash extension will come off with the natural lash causing the lash extensions to look thinner and more sparse than when you first got them done.

Each person is different when it comes to their lashes and hair growth cycle so we recommend every 2-3 week fills, each fill usually takes either an hour or an hour and a half long depending on the retention of your previous set.

At home care is especially important if you want your lash extensions to stay fluffy and full for longer!

The main thing people don't realize is that your lash extensions need to be cleansed every single day to keep them clean and healthy.

In the spa you can pick up our lash cleansing kit or you can purchase individual bottles in store or online of our amazing Lash Lather Cleanser!

After cleansing you will need to brush them anywhere from 3-5 times a day to separate and fluff the lashes to keep them in good condition, I recommend keeping a lash spoolie with you at all times so you can brush them throughout the day.

With lash extensions it is extremely important to avoid any oil products. Oil will break down the lash glue and cause the lash retention to decline causing the lash extensions to fall out much quicker than they would normally with your natural lash.

If you are wearing makeup with your lash extensions make sure you avoid eye makeup remover with oils and any skincare that is heavy in oil needs to be kept away from the eye area.

Overall, lash extensions are very low maintenance and just need to be cared for to keep them in optimal condition until your next fill.

I can not wait to see you in the spa for your beautiful set of lashes, they are truly amazing for any busy babe on the go!
