First Time Brazilian or Modified Bikini? No Problem!
It’s natural to be nervous for your first Brazilian wax. I mean, HELLO, it is your lady parts we’re talking about here! So the question of the hour, “What should I do if I’m nervous for my first Brazilian wax?”
Well girlfriend, first things first. BREATHE. Have faith in your esthetician. Afterall, she is a licensed professional and has done this many times. Like, 5 times already today alone and it’s barely noon.
Arrive at your appointment in comfy clothes and loose underwear. Comfort is key when it comes to your cookie. Take an over-the-counter painkiller 30 minutes before your appointment. This can help reduce the pain during a Brazilian, Modern (Modified) or Bikini wax.
Some clients will also use a topical anesthetic to help numb the pain. If you are using a topical numbing cream make sure to apply it at least an hour before your wax to allow time for it to work in.
If you’re extremely nervous you can ask your Esty to start off with a basic bikini wax and work your way in. By the time she is finished with the bikini area you may find it enticing enough to do more (like a Modern bikini or Brazilian wax!) and realize it’s not THAT bad.
